Here we go here we go here we go now.

I think that’s from a rap song. Not sure.

As I was drying my hair this morning, I was thinking about this day, this weekend, this month- trying to plan out my blogging. I know that some days I will have time (like today) right after school to blog. And many evenings, especially after grad school, I’m around the hizzity, so I can blog then.

But there are a couple of Friday nights/Saturdays when I’m going to concerts (oh Phil Wickham…sigh) or football games (oh Matt Stafford….sigh) and I was trying to think of a way to organize around that. And, I have a couple of pretty big milestones this month that I’ve already marked on my calendar to blog about. So look forward to those.

We aren’t supposed to NaBloPoMo ahead of time- like write something today and post it tomorrow. We’re supposed to actually write and post every day. So that’s out of the question. But I’m a busy lady, and so I’m trying to figure out how to fit this in to my day.

Do I need to get up earlier and blog first thing in the morning?

Or maybe I should move my laptop into my bedroom so that I can blog in the wee hours of 11:59pm, but get it posted before midnight?

Maybe blog WHILE I’m drying my hair? There may be some danger involved (that’s a lot of electricity and hair), but no one ever promised NaBloPoMo would be safe.

Or do I just start taking my laptop with me and finding some WiFi areas around town in which to quick-post? That seems reasonable… but probably annoying after about one day.

So for the entire hair experience this morning, which is longer than I like to admit, I was fully focused on planning and organizing to make sure that not one day in November passed without blogging.

Nice priority, sister. If only I was that committed to spending time with the Lord.

Matthew 6:19-21
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

So, I have a double challenge for myself. And you, if you so choose. NaBiReMo. National Bible Reading Month. (There’s no website. I made it up. I’m very good at shortening words and putting the initials together.)

All I’m saying is that if I don’t read my Bible, I won’t blog. End of story. I can’t love my blog more than I love my God. You are pretty well balanced as is, not the priority pendulum that I am, so you may not even need this added challenge. But for some reason, I often need to be reminded that not only does He deserve all of my heart, He deserves my time. Because, really, they are one in the same.

See you tomorrow.
