Belle Chèvre

So about two months ago, the girls and I decided it was time to get serious and get sophisticated. Our lovely local farmers’ market was hosting a wine and cheese festival, so we purchased tickets, showed up on a chilly October day, and entered into a heaven we did not know existed.

Rows and rows of local made cheeses and spreads and breads, oh my.

I can’t even tell you how wonderful the afternoon was. We laughed, we tasted, we re-tasted, we were happy gals. We spent hours going from table to table, trying out anything a person would put on a cracker.

We were all smiles and with full-ish tummies and down to our last section of tables. And that’s when we walked over to Belle Chèvre.

I’ll tell you. I’m already a big goat cheese fan. So when I saw Tasia from Belle Chèvre and the beautiful things she was offering, I was pumped and quick to ignore my internal “you could stop now and you’d be full” signal. […. which is a signal I’ve consistently ignored since the beginning of time, but that’s another conversation for another day.]

But oh was it worth it.

yummy cheese

You guys. If you read my dear friend Cassie, then you know she is a Belle Chèvre fan as well. But y’all- that cheese? THAT CHEESE? It is amazing. I multi-tasted which, to the real sophisticated socialites, is probably a no-no. But we all knew that I was poser in that crowd anyways.

And then. THEN. Tasia gave us a taste of goat cheese cheesecake.

I know. You don’t know what to do with that information and I respect that. But let me tell you, if you are a fan of cheesecake, this thing is fluffy and sweet and smooth and, dare I say it, almost perfect.

I stood there, before Tasia, dumbfounded at her cheesecake. I said, “My blog readers have to know about this. Do they know about this? DOES THE WORLD KNOW ABOUT THIS?!?” And then I took her card as my friends pulled me away from the Belle Chevre table.

And she said of course. Because she is generous and lovely.

So. SO. Guess what?

Merry Christmas!

One of you is getting a goat cheese cheesecake mailed to your house!!

All you have to do to enter is tell me in the comments who you would share your goat cheese cheesecake with this Christmas.

I will pick one winner FRIDAY MORNING and then we’ll get your address [continental US only please] to Tasia like whoa fast so that she can mail that cheesecake to your house and you can take pics and post them online and be all, “@ANNIEBLOGS WAS SO RIGHT I WILL TRUST HER CHEESE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ALL MY DAYS!”

If you are still looking for gifts to send, might I suggest you check out Belle Chèvre’s online store. I’m droooooling just having the website open. I just want it all and that’s a hard emotion to deal with when it comes to cheeses and budgets. I’m sure you understand.

So…. who wants a goat cheese cheesecake?

. . . . .

Disclaimer: Belle Chevre is not paying me to write this blog post and all these opinions are my own. This whole thing was totally my idea. But much like our winner, Tasia is kindly giving my family a goat cheese cheesecake at Christmas, but that’s probably because I begged with a pouty-lipped email. Amen. Now get your win on.

Easy peasy — my family! I live in China and will be flying back to the US early next week. It will be the first Christmas since the original “Denver 5” (though now we are the MN, CO, China 11) will be together since Christmas 2000. We are excited … goat cheesecake would just be … um, cheesecake on Christmas? (doesn’t seem right to say frosting on the cake, now does it).

I LOVE CHEESECAKE. Every year for my birthday it is my “birthday cake” selection 🙂 I am very curious to try this fluffy cheesecake made with goat cheese. Each year a family member makes a cheesecake for our Christmas meal so there may be competition but it sounds like Tasia will win 🙂 Plan to share this post with my friends …..or maybe I should keep this giveaway a secret to increase my odds. (GIGGLE, GIGGLE). Plan to check out the website now. Thanks Annie!

Whoa whoa whoa – goat cheese is my favorite cheese and cheesecake is my favorite dessert. Sounds unreal good. I would eat it with my family in the US, who doesn’t know I’m flying home on Saturday. So excited!

I am intrigued by this and would share the cheesecake with my husband and my family, whom we are going to visit. Except for my brother, who would balk immediately after he heard the cheesecake had goat cheese in it.

I would share it with our friends who are coming from Texas to spend Christmas with us (we live in Illinois). They are an awesome couple and the husband is a chef. It would be very cool to see how he reacts to a goat cheese cheesecake.

Um. Yes. To all of the above. I am actually going to be just outside of Nashville visiting my sister. I would share the cheesecake with her and her husband and my parents but especially my Grandpa. Grandpa is a NY transplant who has always made a NY cheesecake every year for Christmas to ring in the season. He stopped last year because it was too much for him. I would love to be able to give that cheesecake joy back to him.

Am I still eligible if I say I would share it with NO ONE? Ok, fine, I’d share it with my roommate because I guess she’s ok. She is only my best friend and all.

Oh man, this might be the perfect-storm food of Gina’s temptations! Goat cheese? Cheesecake? Hello, you dialed my number!! My wonderful pastor and his family invite me over for a Christmas Eve dinner each year following our service (I’m our Children’s Director and we do a children’s pageant on Christmas Eve, so I kinda have to be there, which means I can’t go be with my family until the next day). So…I’d share it with them and be their favorite staff member for all time!

Side note, get the blueberry cheese at Mafioza’s sometime. Phenomenal!

I’ve never tried goat cheese, but hey, if it’s in a cheesecake, I’m game. I’d have to share it with my family, or maybe just hoard it as a late-night snack for hubby and me.

I’m going home for break this weekend so I would definitely share it with my parents and new neighbors! My parents and I are born and bred NYCers who very recently moved to a small town on Lake Norman, NC (long story). It’s been a hard change and I know my parents would get such a kick out of this delicious surprise since we’re all obsessed with good cheesecake!!

Ok, first off, this is AH-MAZING! Second, who doesn’t love a cheescake – crazy people, that’s who. If chosen, I would share this with my Dad – and possibly give a tiny bite to my cat b/c he has an insane obsession with cheese (my cat, that is.)

I’m just going to be honest here and tell you that if I won this cheesecake? I wouldn’t share it with anyone. I’d eat that whole ding dang thing myself and enjoy every single bite. I’ve got 3 kids and a husband who think what’s mine is theirs and rarely do I get a treat all to myself. But this? I would hover over it, whispering “my precioussssss” while I ate it in secret. (And this is why I’m in therapy for my food issues, but whatevs. It’s cheesecake.Totally worth it.)

I would love love love a goat cheese cheescake!!! I would for sure share it with my family for Christmas. We are a bunch of cheese lovers around here. My mmom, my sister, my youngest niece Lexi, and I have yet to meet a cheese we didn’t like. Actually, I don’t like a warm version of one cheese, but that is the only one. My oldest niece Mikayla loves to bake cheesecakes, so she’d appreciate tasting this desert too. We really like goat cheese specifically too. So, please please pick me! OK, I think I’m done pleading my case now. Can you tell I’m the daughter of a lawyer? Please don’t hold that against me.
