31 waysEvery Sunday in this month, I’m going to share one verse that really has impacted me as I’ve studied and taught about the power of words.

I don’t know about you, but sometimes I’m tired of human words. Today, I’m real tired. Such is the joy of a Sunday- a day of rest.

I’m grateful for verses like Psalm 119:105 that tells me about the power of God’s words.

Psalm 119:105

. . . . .

Use your words well, friends. But rest today. Let God’s words fill you up.

This is a favorite verse especially since I heard about a woman through Gospel for Asia who learned to read through a GFA program and recited this verse to herself when she had to walk home alone late at night in a dangerous area. Memorizing scripture is wonderful for arming us in our battle wherever that is waged.

I enjoyed listening to your talk on Faith Gateway. I was led to your blog through that talk and now my 13-year-old daughter is reading it. She spent hours last night going through all your jokes. We had fun together with your blog and I am grateful for your tips on social media and teen girls.
