CSB Notetaking Bible Giveaway!

Let me just tell ya’ll something -the Bible is POWERFUL. God is really generous in tending to my heart and soul, and so much of that happens for me through reading and studying the Bible. The cool thing about the CSB Notetaking Bible is that it’s designed to enhance personal Bible study as well as preparation for teaching. My favorite part (shoutout to my fellow journalers) is that this Bible features a single-column setting, and tons of precious note-taking space on each page to make observations, record insights, raise questions, and dive deep.

And of course, because I’m Annie and I LOVE a good giveaway, I’ll be giving away 3 copies of the CSB Notetaking Bible, Sage Cloth Over Board edition! I hope you’re as excited as I am for this one.

To enter, just leave your favorite Bible verse in the comments section below. I know, I know SUPER difficult -there are tons of good ones out there. So if you’re like me and can’t choose, I’ll take ’em all! One entry per person. NOT limited to my friends in the US – booyah!

    Luke 9:23 – This is one of my favorite verses because it reminds me that in following Jesus I have to deny myself and not give in to the things of this world. I am reminded that this is a daily thing, not just once in awhile.

    You’re right, Annie…way too many good verses to choose my favorite. But the one that God keeps bringing back to my heart and mind over and over is Zephaniah 3:17 – “The Lord your God is among you, a warrior who saves. He will rejoice over you with gladness. He will be quiet in his love. He will delight in you with singing.”

    In this stage of life, I am struggling with anxiety and stress. So, Psalm 34: 4-7 has been speaking to me, reminding me that Jesus is my all in all.
    “I sought the Lord, and He answered me;
    He delivered me from all my fears.

    Romans 12:12 – Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. This little verse has helped me focus on the Lord during some tough times. Whenever I get too much up in my head, this is the verse He puts on my heart.

    My favorite verse (and it’s been this verse for a very long time) is Psalm 119:105 – Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a Light unto my path. It gives me so much hope that as long as we stay in His word, he will guide us to what He knows is best for us and eventually, our wants will turn into what He wants for us because we are aligning our lives with Him.

    I have so many bible verses that I love but the one that has ministered to me this year is Isaiah 30:20-21 And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction YET your teacher will not hide himself anymore but your eyes will see your Teacher,. And your ears shall hear a word behind you saying this is the way walk in it when you turn to the right or to the left. Love that God is with us – he is not hiding but we will see Him through trials. What a comfort !!!!

    There’s so many it’s hard to choose but one that has ministered to me through a lot in my life is Psalm 37:4 – “Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” It took a long time for me to figure out that verse didn’t mean that God was a magical genie who gave you whatever you wished for but that the more you align your heart with Him, so do your desires.

    I just saw this Bible at Lifeway! It is beautiful! I love Colossians 3: 12-17 (really the whole chapter); I love the imagery of putting on the things of God and taking off the things of this world.

    When I was a little kid, and I would have nightmares or scary dreams, my parents would come into my room and have me recite Isaiah 41:10: “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God.

    Annie! I am 59 and I LOVE listening to your podcast! Sometimes I feel like I am crashing a party for people way younger than me, but I keep coming back anyway 🙂

    Great interview with John Acuff — what a deep thinker, right? And my heart is glued in Advent so I loved the She Reads Truth episode.

    I don’t remember which podcast it was that I heard you mention the CSV –but I am definitely going to get one. I love everything about a new Bible, (except that it is not my well-worn, note-filled old one, but it’s not like new Bibles replace well-loved ones so I am good.)

    A verse from the top of my list: “They are not just idle words for you, they are your life. By them you will live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess” Deuteronomy 32:47 (TNIV). Love that first sentence so much.

    Romans 2:4b – “Do you not realize that God’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?”

    I realize that’s technically only half of a verse, but hopefully it still counts! It’s short and probably not that well-known, but powerful. Stumbled upon it while reading Romans several years ago and was convicted that I was consuming God’s forgiveness through Christ without the repentance part. The words have been etched on my heart since then. It’s also a good reminder of the character of God and the kindness bestowed upon us.

    The verse I’ve been clinging to lately is Colossians 1:12. The Father has qualified me is a truth I need to hear more often in my life. I’ve also been enjoying 1 Peter 5:10 that Carlos mentioned(I think) in your podcast.

    My favorite Bible Verse is Matthew 5:14-16-
    You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so thatb they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

    Psalm 139:14 “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”

    Such a hard concept for any girl to drill into their head; it reminds me that we are each unique and to doubt that God created us exactly how we are is to doubt our faith and hope in Him.

    Combined with Ephesians 2:10:
    “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus, to do good works, which God prepared us in advance to do.”

    No mean girls allowed; no excuses, because to give God the glory, we will do good works in loving and caring for every person. We are created to be unique and amazing, in our very own ways, just as He designed us to be.

    My favorite verse is Hebrews 6:19, “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain”. I love this picture of the hope Jesus provides and how He gave us access to a relationship with the Father.

    Hebrews 6:19. The only place an anchor is mentioned as a figurative symbol of hope. A hope that Jesus enters in to intercede for us. The anchor means a lot to me (which is why I wear one daily). Anytime I feel overwhelmed or frustrated, I know to get to the ocean. I feel the most free there, and of course in awe of Gods creation. His ability to fill a vast ocean and put boundaries to tell it where to stop calms my heart. He anchors my soul.

    Right now, my favorite Bible verse is 2 Corinthians 12:9. This verse reminds me daily when I’m feeling insufficient, weak, & just not enough, that His grace covers me. His grace is ENOUGH for me and His power is made PERFECT in my weaknesses and my shortcomings. And this helps me to rest in His arms knowing that I am weak, but He is strong!

    Hosea 2:14 “Therefore I will allure her to the wilderness, and I will speak tenderly to her. ” This verse has given me LIFE for about a year now (isn’t God’s Word GOOD?) God draws us to the wilderness like a Bride to the marriage bed and speaks TENDERLY. Instead of dreading the wilderness, hating it while we are there — we should look at it with anticipation… WHAT?! Praising God in the dark, cold, scary, unpredictable wilderness.

    So I’m about to break the giveaway rules – but I don’t know what my favourite bible verse is … because I’ve never picked up a bible, and I’ve never been to church.

    I’m on this journey where I’m finding a lot of my friends attend church and have so much joy and love in their lives, and it’s something I want to explore but feel intimidated by!

    I’ve really been enjoying your podcasts because they add a ‘sprinkle’ of that joy and love to my week without the intimidation factor.

    Anyways – maybe this journal could help me explore that a little bit more. But I’m definitely keen to find a book to help me sprinkle a dash more of that joy and love to my life.

    I think Philippians 4:6-7 is such a beautiful reminder when I need that strength!

    6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
