So here’s the thing.

My blog is getting some behind the scenes work done (read: Oceans almost broke my little corner of the internet), so I can’t blog until Monday…. at least, not blog serious things that I will be sad if it gets lost on the web.

But I cannot resist a 31 days. Apparently. So I’m telling you today that I’m gonna do it, but it will be a few days before we really kick off.

In the mean time, here are the ones I’ve done in the past:

31 Days of Courage (2011) …. this was the birth of Let’s All Be Brave, by the way

31 Days of Jokes (2012)

31 Ways to Speak Love (2013)

And now, in 2014, the question I get asked THE MOST by moms and leaders and people who love teen girls and college girls is WHAT SHOULD SHE BE READING?

So I’m going to tell you this month the 31 books I think every young lady needs on her shelf.

Starting Monday. 🙂

. . . . .

Are you participating in Nester’s 31 Days? What are you writing about? Leave a link in the comments- I love reading new blogs each October!

What a great idea for your 31 Days series! I’ll be following along for ideas to share with the college girls I minister to. (I mean that I’ve followed your blog for years via RSS but will pay extra attention to the series.) I’m writing about my favorite apps, mostly iOS, for the month. http://stairstories.com/2014/10/01/abbys-apps-introduction/

I found your blog, Annie, through the 31 Days Writing Challenge last year, and absolutely loved your Ways to Speak Love topic last year! I will definitely be referring your posts this month to my friends with girls for some good book recommendations. I participated in 31 Days for the first time last year, and let me tell you, it took some courage for me to jump in. But I’m so glad I did. This year it’s not quite so scary and my topic this month is Letting Go: a journey for 31 days. You can find this year’s posts by clicking on the 31 Days Series tab at the top of the page. http://teamcason.blogspot.com.

This is my first 31 day writing challenge! I am writing on the topic of identity. I am passionate about truly believing and living out our identity in Christ.

I always enjoy your 31 Days series, Annie. I’m excited about this one because I love to read and know there will be a book or two in your series that I’ll need to read myself. Off to read more.

Oh, and I always say I’m going to participate and came so close this year. Then I remembered there is a wedding in two weeks – what was I thinking? Put off again for another year.

Hi, I read that 2011 series and LOVED it. I think yours was the only one I kept following after october that year.

I’m writing 31 days of enough time this year 🙂 because the thing I hear most is, “I just don’t have enough time” LOL

Oh, I’m looking forward to reading this!

This year is my first year doing 31 days. I’m writing “Word-Snacks: bite-sized devotions for your hungry moments”. Basically, just short little devotions taken from my Bible reading each morning. I’m using it mostly as a way to help myself get back into the habit of morning devotions, after some major life-changes.

Hi Annie — I’m the other “delightful Annie” who hugged you at Springhill in Michigan this past weekend. 🙂 Am looking so forward to reading “let’s all be brave”, to following you on your blog, to introducing you to the middle school girlsin my life and HOPEFULLY arranging for you to come meet with the young women at my church. Thanks so much!
