That Sounds Fun Podcast Episode 48: Kevin Queen

I am beyond excited about this episode. Kevin Queen is the new pastor of my church in Nashville, Cross Point Church. The story of how he got here is legitimately miraculous. And because we’ve been friends for almost 20 years, I wanted to give him a place to tell the whole thing- start to finish- of what God has done and how Kevin and his family and our church have all responded.

But even if you aren’t in Nashville, this story will certainly speak to you about God’s kindness, provision, and plan. It’s pretty awesome.

You have NO IDEA how inspired I am by this. I graduate in May of last year (2017) with a Bachelor’s degree in ministry leadership, and my life has been a whirlwind since then. Five months of unemployment, an unexpected invitation to join my church’s pastoral staff team, and too much change and transition to recount. I’m in a season where I have a lot of questions, a lot of insecurities, and possibly even bitterness… I am realizing that I haven’t been able to hear God’s voice through the trees I’ve placed in the way. This podcast was a reminder to me that God DOES, in fact, orchestrate our lives in such a way that brings him glory, when we humble ourselves before him. He holds all things together. I’m moved by your passion for your city and the season you’re in as a church and as individuals (I know this episode is an older one, but I imagine that you’re still living much of this story today). Thank you for speaking to me right where I am – you bless my soul!
