What the book is about:

“In order to learn what it means to be a woman, we must start with the One who made her.” Working from Scripture, well-known speaker and author Elisabeth Elliot shares her observations and experiences in a number of essays on what it means to be a Christian woman, whether single, married, or widowed.

Why I like it:

I love Elizabeth Elliot. I could list more of her books (and I probably will). But this one is the one that we all should read. It’s small and has traveled with me from home to home since somewhere around 1999. Full of wisdom and wit and kindness to the reader, this book reads just like a sweet older lady speaking into the formidable seasons of our lives. Love love love it.
